Redmonds opens at Carden Park
Thursday 15th November, 2008
If you want to get away from it all, relax and eat good food, Redmond’s is the perfect escape. Tucked away in 750 acres of Carden Park in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Redmond’s restaurant has been lovingly restored and re-launched to bring a new dining experience to the North West.
Set to be the destination restaurant in the North West for 2008, Redmond’s is not a regular restaurant - here, food is an experience. Indulge in the chocolate fountain, create a bespoke cocktail or enjoy a cheese tasting session. With an open kitchen theatre, Redmond’s guests are encouraged to talk to the chefs, to watch them cooking, to have an interactive and memorable dining experience.
Welcoming yet lavish in design, the restaurant exudes a sense of opulence with soft carpets, heavy curtains and antique artefacts. Set on several tiers, there are areas to suit every occasion. Reserve an intimate booth for a romantic evening, choose the light and airy conservatory for family Sunday lunches, or a chandelier-lit table for dining with friends
Locally sourced whenever possible, dishes are British with a reassuringly northern flavour. Enjoy Lancashire hot pot pie, Sea bass baked in pancetta or Loin of Gloucester old spot; sample homemade piccalilli with local cheeses and Huxley bread and save room for Tattenhall’s Bailey infused ice cream or Warm chocolate soufflĂ© with Shrewsbury shortbread.
As well as supporting local food suppliers, Redmond’s is keen to nurture young talent in the North West. Training under head chef Robert Price, Sarah Weaver has been taking part in the Redmond’s Sommelier training programme. Undertaking a six month course, Sarah is learning about everything drinks related – from wine procurement and storage to whisky nosing and mixology.
With all the glamour of a large city restaurant, yet such commitment to the local area, Redmond’s is a new dining experience for the North West. For more information, call 01829 731 000 or visit www.devere.co.uk/deluxe/CardenPark.
